Email Template Management
The Email Template Management section is where you manage the email templates which Cimpl uses to generate automated emails to your users. You can view and edit all email templates available in Cimpl but you cannot create new ones. All email templates have dynamic placeholder tags in the body of its message (e.g. [%EMPLOYEE_NAME%]).

Language Settings
The language of the emails will depend on the default language established during Cimpl’s implementation (i.e., the default language is chosen by clients at the outset).
There are only two email types that do not follow this rule:
- Emails regarding the Monthly Executive Analytics Report is sent out in the language selected by the sender at the time of this report’s generation.
- Emails sent to Cimpl user requesting password resets is sent in the same language displayed in the Forgot Password link on the login page.
Templates
There are currently 26 email templates which are available editing. There are another 12 email templates programmed into the system that cannot be modified by you, and can only be changed by request to cimpl-support@uplandsoftware.com.
The following email templates can be modified:

Employee Invoice* |
This template is for a message that sends individual employees a link to an invoice for services attributed to them. |
Invoice of Employee Manager* | This template is for a message that allows users who manage employees to consult the invoices for their employees' services. |
Invoice of Organization Manager* |
This template is for a message that allows users who manage the organization to consult the invoices for services assigned to the organization. Tip: use the Employee Managers or Organization Managers invoice templates if you are only sending the invoices to this group of people (i.e. you are not sending to employees). If you send your invoices to employees only, any employee who is also flagged as a manager will receive the notification for the employees reporting to them within the email they receive. |
Notification of Resolution of Invoice Contestation | This template is for a message that informs individual users that their invoice disputes have been resolved. |
Notification of Creation of Invoice Contestation | This template is for a message that informs individual users that their invoice disputes have been correctly created. |
Executive Analytics Report | This template is for a message that tells users that an Executive Analytics Report is ready for their viewing. |
Service Request Approval Email Template | This template is for a message that tells a user with approval authority that there is a workorder for her/him to approve or reject. |
Service Request Approved Email Template | This template is for a message that informs individual users that their request has been approved. |
Service Request Rejected Email Template | This template is for a message that informs individual users that their request has been rejected. |
Service Request Auto Approval Email Template | This template is for a message that informs individual users that their request has been automatically approved. |
Service Request Auto Reject Email Template | This template is for a message that informs users that their request has been automatically rejected. |
Service Request Final Approval Email Template | This template is for a message informing a user that their request has been completely approved. |
Contract Alert Email Template | This template informs a user of a pre-configured alert in Contract Management where a Contract may be expiring. |
Dispute Email Template | This template informs the Cimpl person assigned to deal with disputes, that there is a dispute pending action. |
Workorder Request Approval Email Template | This template is for a message informing a user that there is a workorder needing to be approved. |
Workorder Request Approved Email Template | This template is for a message informing a user that the workorder has been approved. |
Workorder Request Auto Approval Email Template | This is a template informing the user that a workorder was approved automatically. |
Workorder Request Auto Reject Email Template | This is a template informing the user that a workorder was automatically rejected. |
Workorder Request Final Approval Email Template | This is a template informing the user that the workorder was completely approved. |
Workorder Request Reject Email Template | This is a template informing the user that the workorder was rejected. |
Approval Alert Email Template | This is a template informing the approver that there is a request pending their approval. |
Stop Payment Request Approval | This is a template informing the approver that there is Stop Payment Request pending thier approval. |
Stop Payment Request Approved | This is a template informing the submitter that the Stop Payment Request has been approved. |
Stop Payment Request Cancelled | This is a template informing the approver that a Stop Payment Approval Request was canceled. |
Stop Payment Request Rejection | This is a template informing the submitter that the Stop Payment Request has been rejected. |
* these email templates can automatically bundle several related messages together in one consolidated email. This happens when more than one invoice is associated with the intended recipient of an email.
